Modem Light Status Problem Solution

Power	Off	No power.	Verify power supply connections, the power switch on the modem itself, the electrical outlet, and make sure the outlet is not connected to a switch.
PC	off/Blinking	Modem is unable to see Ethernet/USB signal.	Verify cable connections and try resetting the modem. If cable is ok & modem reset doesn’t work, contact Customer Support (Email or Chat) .
PC	Solid	None	Illuminates solid green to indicate that an Ethernet/USB carrier is present.
Cable	Slow Flashing	searching for cable connection	Verify all cable connections and try resetting the modem. If cable is OK and modem reset doesn't work, contact Customer Support (Email or Chat).
	Fast Flashing Modem	searching for cable connection	If this is a new modem or a replacement modem, you must contact Cox with your MAC address Click Here. If there are several MAC addresses on the modem, please use the “HFC” or “RF” MAC address. View Mac address Label
	Off	No connection cable Connection	Verify all cable connections and try resetting the modem. If cable is OK and modem reset doesn't work, contact Customer Support (Email or Chat).
Cable	Blinking	None	Indicates software upgrade and to indicate cable activity.
Status	Solid	None	Illuminates solid green when the modem is registered on the network.
Status	Blinking	The cable modem is booting up and not ready for data. The cable modem is scanning the network and attempting to register. The cable modem has lost registration on the network and will continue blinking until it registers again.	Verify cable connections and try resetting the modem. If cable is ok & modem reset doesn’t work, contact Customer Support (Email or Chat).
